One Saturday morning after Christmas, couple of IWAKL members and our devoted President Mrs. Shakilah went to the younger girls home of Rumah Anak Kesayangku to meet the children and the house mother and deliver the cheque from IWAKL fundraising activities. IWAKL had provided (via an anonymous donor at the Internal Food Fair 2011) a variety of brand new appliances including freezer, fans and rice cookers.

During the morning  Natalia and Lynne rediscovered  their inner child sharing with younger girls as they made their bead necklaces and glitter window stickers, and some of the girls became very skilled in building their towers with the building blocks, whilst Shakilah spoke to the house mother and the older girls.

Apparently the older girls do the cooking and they would like some cookery lessons on different food especially burgers. The food that they cook looked delicious so perhaps a chance to swap skills and recipes?
