The Christmas coffee morning

One of longstanding IWAKL members, Jessika, opened her lovely home for a wonderfully festive Finnish coffee morning with lots of Scandinavian touches. It really put us in the mood for Christmas.

A warm and generous welcome at the door was followed by a traditional warm blackcurrant drink of ‘glögg’

The morning was very well attended again with old and new members and guests and some potential members. It was a great opportunity to get to know one another.

Small fee we took for this coffee we spent on the Christmas gifts for kids of Puchon learning center in addition to those gifts collected at the Christmas lunch earlier.

The table of wonderful food was really colorful and Jessika explained to us all what the story was behind the Scandinavian food and the candles on the table. Much of this was new to the many of the ladies there.

Typical of the diversity of IWAKL nestled amongst all the Scandinavian dishes was a tasty Nepalese dish.
