I would like to start by saying Thank You for electing me as the President 2011- 2012 of this prestigious association. I would also like to thank and congratulate the previous Board for their selfless contribution and hard work. As the new Board , we aim to build on the good will generated by the previous Board and launch IWAKL into a new realm.

IWAKL is in essence, a hub for international ladies for interaction, humanitarian community service and professional fulfillment .It’s a cultural melting of different ethnicities to promote friendship, understanding and peace through cultural and social exchange and working towards a common goal of empowering women through charitable causes.

That being said, IWA-KL is only as strong as the people behind it and as such, I strive to bring about changes in the way we communicate and work together. After all, we can only be a force to be reckoned with as one voice. United, we shall better be able to achieve much more. We must demonstrate more support and encouragement towards each other. I personally would like to encourage everyone to have their say. Every member is important and I would love to hear more feedback and opinions expressed by our members. After all, it is our association. The IWAKL community shall be one that moves and acts together with the same agenda and goals whilst fostering an international bond of support.

Let’s embrace each others cultures, religions and experiences with respect and warmth as we move into this New Year with promise, hope and open hearts. With that, much needs to be done and I ask that our members join me in making IWAKL all that it can be.
